Bridesmaid Dress: Meeting Halfway
Choosing what a bridesmaid has to wear is challenging because you, as a bride, need to meet half way with the bridesmaid and you, as a bridesmaid, need to do the same. To make the pre-wedding process smooth, here are some tips:
To the Bride: Prioritize your bridesmaid’s taste before your own because years after the wedding, you surely wouldn’t care about how their gowns looked like, as much as you do about how they felt. Your bridesmaid’s opinions, size, shape, personality and budget should all be included when coming up with a decision.
To the Bridesmaid: Be flexible all the time. Since this isn’t your wedding day, be more than willing to compromise. You shouldn’t let that one bridesmaid dress ruin your friendship with the bride. If you don’t want the dress, bring the dress to a consignment store. Do this as soon as possible because stores accept only those that are still in style.
Keep in mind that it’s just a dress. The focus of the wedding is the marriage taking place, so to the two of you, don’t ever sweat the small stuff.
