Perhaps the most stressful part of preparing for a wedding is helping a man decide what to wear. If you are the groom who knows nothing about the right things to wear on different occasions, then below are some tips to guide you down the aisle:

Tip 1: Buy or Rent?

Are you undecided as to whether or not you should buy a groomswear for your wedding day? Here’s a clue: if you will be using a suit or tuxedo on formal events or in the office in the coming years, then why not buy your own? Consider renting if your job does not require you to wear a suit or a tuxedo. (For more information regarding renting tuxedo, read The Guide to tuxedo rental

Tip 2: Picking the Right Color

Formal events are always conventional. You may want to wear a neon green suit just to be different, but it is best to stick with solid and somber colors or white, gray or black.

Being a groom is not just about preparing for family life or for sticking through thick and thin and in sickness and in health with your wife. It is about the little things, like picking the right groomswear, to let your wife know that yes, you can manage.

Man, I was thinking of wearing a neon green tuxedo for my brother's wedding; but then I saw Harry Potter, the fourth film, and I couldn't bring myself to do it anymore because everybody will think I'm trying to be Harry Potter. He wore a green tuxedo in the fourth film!

Fortunately for me, I have a best friend who knows so much about fashion and how to dress properly so I really don't have any problems with this. He also happens to be my best man!
