Groomswear Etiquette: An Ultimate Wedding Must-Have
Groomswear etiquette must be followed by husbands-to-be like you to be the best groom for your future wife. While you may think this is easy, groomswear etiquette is actually easier to get wrong than right. To avoid messing up, learn from these tips:
Do – Do make sure that if you will need young or student ushers, they understand what the word “smart” means. Make it clear that ironing folds in chinos or wearing a tie with a regular pair of jeans is never going to cut it.
Don’t – You, as a groom, should never wear a short-sleeved shirt even if the sun is brightly shining. If you take off your suit or tuxedo later, you will end up looking very informal for the occasion. Lastly, don’t wear shirts with pockets.
Don’t expect your future wife to do all the planning or decision-making because you can’t expect a woman to know anything about groomswear all the time. Impress her by showing that you can manage even when it comes to fashion, especially on your wedding day. If you enjoyed reading this article, might as well read The Guide to wedding tuxedo.

I'm quite disappointed that I can't wear a short-sleeved shirt underneath my tuxedo. My metabolism is fast, and I always sweat even if it's just mildly humid. Oh, well, I guess I have to sacrifice comfort for etiquette this one time.

View 2 CommentsThank you very much for the info! You're a life-saver. I was actually planning on wearing a shirt with a breast pocket on my wedding day next week. I would've looked foolish if not for this article. Thank you very much again!
