Groomswear: A Groom’s Responsibility
You, as a groom, dictates what the members of the entourage will wear. That said, setting the right tone is your responsibility. By all means, be guided.
1. You can be wearing a gray, black or white suit but it doesn’t change the rule that black is your only choice when it comes to a groom. Make sure that before putting your feet on your shoes, the pair is perfectly well-polished and preferably new. (Learn how to use shoe polish wax)
2. You can wear a cravat, a bow tie or a standard tie. You wear a bow tie if your wedding is formal and is held on the evening. You wear a cravat for a morning wedding. A standard tie is a tie which you can wear with any kind of wedding, in general.
Remember to wear the right attire on your wedding day because you are accountable for the appearances of the males on the event. If you enjoy reading this article, might as well read The Guide to Wedding Dresses.

A gray suit is nice, but I still say wear black just to be sure. I mean, if you want to look good and confident in front of the ladies (there will be lots of them in the wedding), you should definitely go for something that's conventional. An unconventional suit is interesting, but it might also look weird.

View 2 CommentsI seem to recall attending a wedding in which the groom wore a gray suit, not black. It didn't look bad, as most people might expect. I think it really doesn't matter what you're be wearing, as long as you look good in it.
