You may now know this yet, but designer gowns are called as such not only because these are designed by reputable designers but because the fabrics used are of the best quality, design and color. Trends come and go, and so does the quality of fabrics. If silk was considered a high quality fabric for a wedding dress 15 years ago, designers had finally discovered that pintuck is even better.

To keep up with the times, the latest wedding dress fabrics today are bone, satin, taffeta, organza, dupioni, chiffon, shantung and velvet. If you are going to be a bride very soon, help prepare for your wedding day better by tell your groom-to-be about your choice for a wedding dress fabric. So among all the fabrics you mentioned (bone, satin, taffeta, organza, dupioni, etc.), what is the best one? I'm getting married two months from now, and I want my designer to make the perfect choice for my wedding gown. Also, what's this "bone" fabric? Why is it called bone?

I'll probably just leave the wedding design and fabrics to my wedding dress designer. She might not be a big-name designer but she really gets the job done with flying colors!
