A collection of neckties
Most of the time, ties stand out from the suit people wear
For weddings and other formal occasions, the best way a man should dress himself is in a tuxedo and tie. Any black tuxedo will do, but if you want to be creative without becoming too eccentric, you could play with how you wear your tie. Especially at weddings, where everyone is expected to be at their most formal, ties can be your way to stand out. The only problem is that many fine fabrics used in ties – silk, for example – also come with a hefty price.

One type of tie that is formal but affordable at the same time is the satin tie. Satin is a type of fabric noted for its flexibility and shine. Satin ties are often made from polyester, a synthetic fiber that’s strong and easily washable. Though satin can be machine-washed, it is advisable to dry-clean satin ties

Polyester satin ties have a smooth and soft appearance. Those who are looking for more affordable alternatives to silk can find satin ties very convenient. This makes satin ties very popular for weddings. For woven satin ties, there are two options: you can choose a type of satin that has a smooth finish, or opt for one that has a visible weave. Either way, these ties are your best bets to looking good and being economical at the same time.

What Other People Thought

I completely agree with this article. I see no sense in buying silk ties that are so expensive and yet almost indistinguishable from high-quality satin ties. I wore a gold and silver satin tie on my cousin's wedding, and everyone loved it.

I have to agree with this one. I used to spend a small fortune on expensive silk ties and then my friend showed me his which was satin and I absolutely couldn't believe how cheap it was, and yet still look great! I switched over to satin ties and now am a happy camper.
